In the
installation the visitors most memorable places in Yamaguchi Prefecture were
collected. After writing down the coordinates, infra red (IR) lights are placed
under the map of Akiyoshidai. The IR lights are not visible with human eye, but
by using mobile phone camera the content becomes visible. In this way an
invisible map of memories is created by the participants.

このインスタレーションでは、鑑賞者にとっての山口県内における最も思い出深い場所が蒐集される。座標が書き入れられたあと、秋吉台の地図の下には赤外線ライトが仕組まれる。赤外線は人間の目では見ることができないが、携帯電話のカメラを通すと目に見えるようになり、内容を可視化させる。このようにして参加者による見えない記憶の地図が作られる。
これはマリ・マキオとタマシュ・スベットによる、コラボレーション作品である。2016年、秋吉台国際芸術村レジデンスプログラム滞在中に作られた。

Naganobori
